A grand lady of stage and screen to be sure.Everyone remembers her Oscar-winning turn in HUD, but she was in much more. The Subject was Roses, A Face in the Crowd, The Fountainhead, even 1981's gathering of greats known as Ghost Story.
But for the purposes of this blog, we shall remember her in a film that featured everything I love: good acting, great imagery and robots.
Ladies and gentlemen, join me in remembering Miss Neal in that classic film, The Day The Earth Stood Still.
Rest in peace, Ms. Neal.
