debwa loves meat. in fact, we are carnivores. but i'm still not that great at cooking it, i'm always afraid i'll undercook my steak and end up really over coking it, even though i like it medium rare or rare! my friend jack showed me this really good trick to get it just how you like it, without using a meat thermometer, which cn actually be bad because poking a hole in the meat lets all it's juices escape.
the finger test:
as you are cooking your meat, press it (you can use a untensil if you are worried about burning yourself) to feel it's hardness and then compare by feeling the fleshy part of your thumb with the following guide-
