Let's Go To A Concert - Part I

...And no, I didn't go to one, but I think we've all worked hard enough this week (even though it's only Tuesday) to deserve a nice rock concert, don't you?

And when it comes to rock and roll, we all think of...Billy Joel.

...

Well, maybe that's just me, but anyway....

Let's go back in the days when all of Billy's songs were still fresh off the vinyl, the radio and the just-blossoming airwaves of MTV. You know, back when he still had hair (sorry, Billy... : ( ).

(and before you ask, NO, I am not playing "Piano Man" - everyone does that one to death, as it is.)

Let's start off with "Honesty", it's such a lonely word...

"Moving Out (Anthony's Song)" is a personal fave (you may have to turn up your sound on this one).

"It's Still Rock And Roll To Me", even if my tie's too wide....

"Just The Way You Are"...ahh, mellowness (again, sound up, please...).

Now for some lesser-knowns: I loved "The Stranger"...

..."Say Goodbye To Hollywood"...

...and "Sometimes A Fantasy" (in spite of the creepy subject matter).

There. A Billy Joel concert without tickets, bad seats and no having to buy a stupid T-shirt. You're welcome.

Next time, maybe we'll try another artist from MY time. The GOOD times. ; )

Dope out.
