who can find a vulnerability in its Chrome browser.
Google throws this challenge to the hackers to exploit its browser at this year's Pwn2Own hacking contest and gain the $20K reward and a new CR-48 Chrome notebook computer. This is the highest reward at the event that will start for the fifth time at the CanSecWest security conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, on March 9.
The condition is that the hacker must carry out the Chrome crack using only Google-written code on the Windows 7 or Mac OS X operating systems in 30 minutes or less.
Google is very confident to bet on its browser as last year only Chrome could withstand hackers' attempts while the other major browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari had fallen to attackers.
The first ones who hack IE, Firefox and Safari will receive $15,000 and the machine running the browser.
