What's your favourite Nightmare On Elm Street movie? If you plump for anything other than Nightmare On Elm Street 3 : The Dream Warriors then you need a taste bypass. Admitedly, it was the first NOES flick i saw so i'm biased here but Sha Deezy agrees with me and on IMDB the general consensus is that it's the apex of the Freddy franchise.
The most memorable scene from the movie which really bugged me out as a young'n was where the puppet on the wall in the hospital room that the kid who played Eyeball Chambers in Stand By Me is sleeping in, transforms into a miniature Freddy, cuts itself free, runs across the room before ballooning into real size Freddy and uses his trademark claws to turn the kid who played Eyeball (i can't be arsed looking up his real name; Even though his character is called Philip here he'll always be Eyeball Chambers to me) into a human puppet by ripping a vein from each of his 4 crucial limbs and strutting his sleeping ass through the hospital corridors before leaving him teetering on the edge of some ledge where..well, i don't wanna spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it before.
True, it might not have a killer Kruger one-liner like the Welcome to primetime, bitch! in the head-through-the-tv-screen death scene but what it lacks in wit it makes up for in creativity and the wince-factor of seeing a chap with his veins ripped out of his arm-leg-leg-arm (no head) walking around like Parker from Thunderbirds with Freddy pullin' the strings like gee-tar strings down in Spain as the other nightmare suffering flid kids in the hospital desperately scream (or, in the case of the deaf and dumb kid, throw stuff around) from their windows for him to wake up.
Big Scoob - N*ggaz Can't Hang
Did you hear that Jackie Earle Haley AKA Rorschach from Watchmen has been confirmed as Freddy in New Line's remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street?
