Now this is a sad piece of news; I just come home after a grueling day of work and late play practice (we're putting on "Arsenic and Old Lace") and find out that one of my fave directors, Robert Altman, has passed on.
This is not only sad in the passing of another mortal off this Earth, but also because he was one of the few vibrant, vital directors still putting out work in his golden years (A Prairie Home Companion, anyone?). Speilberg should be so lucky.
And so, in honor of Mister Altman and his voluminous work, I present to you the last 10 minutes of Brewster McCloud.
And for as quirky, laid-back and unpredictable a personality as he was - yes, I think that was the perfect tribute to him.
RIP, Robert.
Dope out.
