Namaste Telangana, a new Telugu newspaper that is seeking for a huge support for the separation of Telangana state. The newspaper starts with a print out of 7,50,000 copies that will be distributed all over Andhra Pradesh.
Namaste Telangana will lay a platform for activists who support the cause of separate Telangana statehood. The daily newspaper will be a 12 page broadsheet with all the supplement containing local news.Katta Shekar Reddy, chief executive officer of Telangana Publications Pvt. Ltd said that the newspaper will price Rs 3 on weekday and Rs 3.50 on Sundays - as all the Telugu newspapers in the state. He also said that the paper has been started to support the cause and culture, history and traditions of Telangana. He later added that Telangana has been lacking with a newspapers that supports the issues and now with the launch of newspaper it has become easier for them to support the Telangana true issues.
Namaste Telangana also has its office in Hyderabad at Banjara Hills, Road No. 10. Advertisements for the newspaper are already started through publishers with a slogan 'Telangana gunde chappudu (Telangana's heartbeat)'.
It will be a huge task ahead of the Namaste Telangana, with already established Telugu mainstream newspapers like Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi, Sakshi, Andhra Bhoomi, Vaartha and many more.
