Good news for the 2nd generation iPad users. Now you can jailbreak your iPad 2. The Beta tester of the jailbreak for iPad 2 has been leaked. Earlier we have posted that Comex, the developer of JailbreakMe was working on iPad 2 jailbreak. One of the private beta testers has leaked JailbreakMe 3.0, with support for the 2nd generation iPad. In order to jailbreak your iPad 2, you will need to have an iPad running iOS 4.3.3 and an active internet connection. For this jailbreak process, you don’t need to connect your iPad 2 with computer. You should note that this is an unofficially released jailbreak. You should wait until Comex officially releases his jailbreak. If you don’t want to wait then you can follow the steps posted below to jailbreak your iPad 2.
How to Jailbreak iPad 2
STEP 1. First you have to launch Mobile Safari and then navigate over to the URL as shown in the video.
STEP 2. Now Safari will close automatically, then you will be able to see a Cydia icon on the home screen of your iPad 2, with a progress bar.
STEP 3. Reboot your iPad 2 after the Cydia icon disappears. After some time, your iPad 2 will be restarted.
