German Tennis Player Sabine Lisicki In Bikini

Sabine Lisicki ready for Wimbledon semi-final action against Maria Sharapova
THE GERMAN tennis player, Sabine Lisicki, has been in terrific form this Wimbledon season. She is set for a semi-final date later today with former Wimbledon champion from Russia, Maria Sharapova. Lisicki defeated one of the favourites for the competition, Marion Bartoli, in the quarter finals, with a score line of 6-4, 6-7, and 6-1. Another Russian Sharapova outclassed her opponent, Dominika Cibulkova, with a straight set victory, 6-1, and 6-1.

The unseeded German player would be high on confidence as she has defeated players such as Li Na, Bartoli en route to the semi-finals. She has played consistently well in the tournament hence experts around the world are expecting a German win. The big serving German has been playing attacking tennis in the competition. She has been an aggressive player from the baseline from where she prefers to score winners with her backhand and forehand. Sharapova must not give her opponent any short balls as she can strike the ball with ferocious power. Lisicki has won 11 straight matches on grass courts, so Sharapova has to come out all guns blazing to stop her dream run in the competition and the grass court.

These two players had met once earlier in the year where Maria Sharapova turned out to be triumphant in Miami. But, things are different this time around. It would take some doing from Sharapova to stop the German from progressing into the finals of Wimbledon 2011. Read More
