Why Do I Even WANT This Movie????

Odds are that many of you have never even heard of this beauty. Jan-Gel: The Beast from the East? Have you?

And what about the fact that this was not only directed by and written by but also stars Conrad Brooks?

Conrad Brooks.

Plan 9 from Outer Space.

Glen of Glenda.

Night of the Ghouls.

Bride of the Monster.

Revenge of the Dead.

The Beast of Yucca Flats.

Sensing a pattern here?

And then, several years down the road and as recently as 1999, Conrad created a lower-than-low budget film about a caveman who was thawed out of his natural environment and escapes into the modern-day American landscape to terrorize and horrify the populace. It is then up to a group of hunters (led by Conrad, natch) to bring him down.

Promising premise? No.

Then I went and read THIS REVIEW over at the Brothers Smith website, and that was it. I was done. Over. I had to find this for myself.

That was many years ago, and I had not been lucky in any way shape or form in finding Jan-Gel. Surrendering to my failure, I forgot about it and went on.

THEN, I saw this video:



And now I have to find it all over again.

Damn you, Internet. Just when I thought I was out...you pull me back in.

Well, back on into the hunt. I'll find you, Jan-Gel.
