A Version of "Star Wars" You've NEVER Seen Before....

And well-ashamed you should be, Master Yoda.

You think you've seen it all when it comes to Star Wars, dear reader? Well, I thought for sure I had, until I came across a little posting supplied by a blog known as winterson.com, which is a small, unassuming blog in and of itself. Nothing wrong with that.

Then I came across this post which explained that the blog-master had come across a copy of Revenge of the Sith which, in its origin from China, had subtitles which were a direct English translation of the Chinese interpretation of what the script was saying.

Got that?

What that means, just so you'll be prepared, is that it was in English, was translated into Chinese and then that Chinese was re-translated into English for the subtitles so that we could re-read what was being said so we can understand it. Again.

NOW.

Even with such preparation, I doubt you'll be ready for the captioning of such modern-day scenes as these. Believe me, there are others on the original site, but I think this is enough of a sample for the curious to check out the remainder.

And a far as commentary on my end...it's fruitless. I'll just let the screen caps speak for themselves:

See there? See how they think we speak overseas?

No wonder every other country in the world thinks Americans are idiots.

Well, differences in speech aside, I see I have yet another movie to seek out. Like I need an excuse.

But for die-hard fans and George Lucas sycophants alike, I think this last caption will speak eloquently for them:

Dope out.
