Moss Rose also known as Portulaca grandiflora botanically is a small beautiful multicolored flower of a plant with family name as Portulacaceae (moss rose family). The plant grows commonly in India and needs very less water for its growth. The flower's blooming time is specific and hence it is also known as "Time Fuul", meaning "Time Flower" in Bangladesh. The flower is known by different names in various languages of India.

Moss Rose flowers has several delicate petals with different colors like pink, white, orange, yellow and bi-color too. The flower looks very attractive and a bed of various colors of these flowers can enhance the beauty of the garden easily. The fast growing plant grows either with just a stem with or without the roots. The cylinder shaped tiny leaves of the plant are juicy and strong too. The plant looks ornamental due to the combination of the leaves and the flower with buds too. Every plant has several flowers and the plant grows very quickly and spreads wide. The best way is to plant it in the ground instead of a pot because this plants forms a beautiful bed of flowers. |
