I'm going on hiatus.
Yep, that's it.
I'll get back to this sometime, I promise. I think I just need a few less irons in my fire. I'll do a periodic check-in once in awhile but as far as regular updates...we'll have to wait and see.
Don't worry, regular readers (all six of you), I haven't abandoned you. I just need some time, you know?
Peace, and until next posting (whenever that is)...
Dope out.

I'm Suffering From "Blog-Burnout"...
Attention, all six readers of this blog:
I've been thinking seriously about shutting this blog down indefinitely.
Not that any of you care but there's just absolutely no joy left in doing this anymore - I get zero feedback, I have no one willing to comment on anything I post anymore, and what's worse...you see all those links on the side? Only two or three of them even bother to link to me.
Great "friends", huh?
It's just useless. I think I will be closing up in the next day or two, so if by some amazing coincidence there are a couple of vids or links you liked; you'd better find them and link to their direct URL now, because there's no guarantee there'll be there tomorrow.
So, that's all I wanted to post today. You've been warned.
Dope out.

Excited About An Incoming Video....
(WARNING - this posting contains previously posted videos. But I don't care. So there. Nyah.)
I'm pretty jazzed; in just a little while from now, I'm going to be getting a gift from a good friend of mine: he goes by the name of Hong Kong Cavalier and has his own website and blog (the links are on the right, there...) - and he's helping me get a hold of a video I've been wanting to get a hold of for quite a long time (at least ever since reading about it HERE). And that video is....
SUPERSONIC MAN (1979)
Featuring Cameron Mitchell and no one else you've heard of (unless you're familiar with Juan Piquer Simon films), this is one of the corniest, most dopey superhero "epics" ever committed to film - and certainly one of the most entertaining looking, from all available evidence. The Cavalier's getting everything together as we speak before sending it out to me; sure, it's been on its way since December, but it's gonna be worth the wait, that much I know.
(giddy-giddy-giddy-giddy-giddy)
'Why?', you ask? Just look at the evidence....
Here is the transformation of nominal hero Paul (Michael Coby)...
The kidnapping of a scientist by bad guy Mitchell via a robot - and WHAT a robot it is...
And one of the action scenes where a lady is saved by the hero by his lifting a...well...what IS that thing??
Now, is it any wonder to you why I'm so ready to get a hold of this flick? Don't worry out there, though; I'll let you all know just as soon as I get the video!

Back To The Satellite Of Love...
Yes, you have to put up with more clips from my fave show of all time: "Mystery Science Theater 3000". I've gotten more than one complaint from people who don't like this show for some ungodly reasons that make no sense.
So I am showing these clips to satiate my own love for this show...AND to tick off the MST-haters out there. Ha!
So here are some choice shorts from this great show. First is "Catching Trouble"...
Next is "A Day At The Fair" (REALLY good one, this is)...
And we wrap it up with "A Case Of Spring Fever".
See, they're funny! This show is funny. Take THAT, you MST-haters!

You Can't Fight Fashion...
Now I'm not going to say that clothes nowadays are all that weird or over-flashy or anything. All I'm going to say is this....
At least they're nothing like clothes USED to be.
See what I mean?!!!
(though those butterfly collars are cool....)
NO! OUT EVIL THOUGHTS! OUT!!!
Uh...Dope out.

Rockin' Good News...
Well, this made my day: it appears that David Lee Roth will be reuniting with most of his ex-Van Halen bandmates for a tour this summer. Ought to be one of the bright spots on the music tour circuit this year.
Now, for those of you who are only familiar with Van Hagar or that other guy who sang for them whose name I can't remember and don't care to look up, behold the beauty and glory and hard rocking majesty that was (is and always will be) Van Halen:
You can't go wrong with songs like "You Really Got Me"...
"Running With The Devil"...
"Unchained"...
"Pretty Woman" - (from their "Diver Down" album - a fave of mine)...
And from one of their best albums ("1984"), "House Of Pain" (HA! Thought it was gonna be "Jump", didn't ya?)
Well, let us wait patiently for this summer, shall we?
