Music TV is dead

i was watching some shitty top whatever videos count down today on TV and there was a music video for a song by Take That which is apparently in the movie 'Stardust'. Regardless of my opinion of Take That, I thought the video was utter shit. A middle aged boy band recording in the studio with random, unrelated clips of movie shoved into the cuts? i would get a better effect listening to the radio while channel surfing through day time television.

This video by the avalanches is what music videos should be. I'm not particularly fond of the song, but after watching the charming video, i wouldn't mind hearing it again... if I got to watch the video again, too.
