A new look Liverpool club will kick off its pre-season tour of Asia against Guangdong Sunray Cave on Wednesday afternoon.

Liverpool is set to suit up new signing Charlie Adam, who is expected to make his debut Kenny Dalglish’s side, which will play its first ever game on Chinese soil.
Also on the tour are Andy Carroll, Raul Meireles and Jordan Henderson.
However, captain Steven Gerrard and goalkeeper Pepe Reina stayed back to continue their fitness workouts ahead of the start of the new season.
Both players are still recovering from summer operations, but manager Dalglish is confident that they will be ready for the new campaign.
He said on the club’s official website: “Steven is injured at the moment and that’s why he’s not here with us. He has made a fantastic recovery from his operation towards the end of last season.
“He just needs to get the final couple of niggles out of the way and then he will be fit for the start of the season against Sunderland.
“The same situation applies to Pepe – he had a double hernia operation in June. He isn’t fit and so had to stay at home. He should be ready for the start of the season.”
Another star player not with the Reds is Uruguay forward Luis Suarez, who is currently on international assignment with the national side at the Copa American in Argentina. Read More
